  • Der Zweck der EANA besteht in der Wahrnehmung und Förderung der gemeinsamen Interessen seiner Mitglieder in allen Bereichen, die für ihre Arbeit und Tätigkeiten wesentlich sind. Ziel von EANA ist es, die Zukunft der Mitgliedsagenturen als Anbieter unabhängiger Nachrichten sicherzustellen. Die Pressefreiheit ist für EANA und ihre Mitglieder von zentraler Bedeutung. EANA dient als paneuropäisches professionelles Forum der Herstellung von Kontakten und Kooperation sowie dem Austausch von Informationen, Erfahrungen und Know-how unter ihren Mitgliedern bei der Europäischen Union und anderen internationalen Organisationen. EANA organisiert Seminare zu Themen, die für ihre Mitglieder von gemeinsamem Interesse sind. Diese Seminare decken Themen ab wie die Entwicklung von Inhalten in Nachrichtendiensten, Marketing, Informationstechnologie, Urheberrecht und andere Rechtsfragen im Zusammenhang mit Medien. EANA kann über ihren Präsidenten, ihren Generalsekretär oder über ordnungsgemäss ernannte Vertreter in Debatten etc. im Namen ihrer Mitglieder zu Fragen sprechen und handeln, die ihre Mitglieder betreffen.
