BC Jura mit Rekordgewinn

Die Jurassische Kantonalbank (BC Jura) hat im vergangenen Jahr deutlich mehr verdient und damit ein Rekordergebnis erzielt. Zu verdanken ist dies vor allem den gestiegen Zinsen.
Der Geschäftserfolg, das operative Ergebnis der Bank, stieg 2023 im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um mehr als die Hälfte auf 31,2 Mio. Fr. (+53%), wie die Bank am Dienstag mitteilte. Unter dem Strich verblieb ein Reingewinn von 13,2 Mio. Fr., ein Plus von 30%.
Die Aktionäre sollen vom guten Ergebnis profitieren. Daher schlägt der Verwaltungsrat der Generalversammlung vor, eine Dividende von insgesamt 6,75 Mio. Fr. bzw. 2.25 Fr. pro Aktie auszuschütten. Das sind knapp 30% mehr als für das Geschäftsjahr 2022.
Im wichtigsten Ertragspfeiler, dem Zinsgeschäft, stieg der Nettoerfolg um gut ein Drittel auf 50,4 Mio. Fr. (+34%). Der Erfolg im Kommissionsgeschäft legte um 7,5% auf 10 Mio. zu. Das Handelsergebnis stieg um 55% auf 7,2 Mio.
Die Bilanzsumme betrug Ende Dezember 4,29 Mrd. Fr., 0,5% mehr im Vergleich zu Ende 2022. Die Hypothekarforderungen stiegen dabei um 4,2% auf 2,98 Mrd. Die Kundeneinlagen nahmen um 4,7% auf 2,55 Mrd. Fr. zu.
Das neue Jahr habe in einem unsicherem Umfeld begonnen, heisst es mit Blick in die Zukunft. Dies sowohl geopolitisch – mit den Konflikten im Nahen Osten und in der Ukraine – als auch wirtschaftlich – mit einer möglichen Abschwächung der Konjunktur und möglichen Zinssenkungen. Trotz der Unsicherheiten gehe die Bank aber davon aus, 2024 ein vergleichbares Ergebnis wie 2023 zu erreichen.
