Waadtländer Firma muss wegen Korruption 81 Millionen Franken zahlen
27.04.2023Die Waadtländer Sicherheitsfarbenfirma Sicpa ist wegen Korruptionshandlungen zu Zahlungen von insgesamt 81 Millionen Franken verurteilt worden. Gegen einen ehemaligen Verkaufsleiter des Unternehmens wurde eine bedingte Freiheitsstrafe von 170 Tagen verhängt. Gemäss der Mitteilung der Bundesanwaltschaft vom Donnerstag haben die Sicpa und der verurteilte Ex-Mitarbeiter erklärt, auf eine Einsprache gegen die Strafbefehle zu verzichten. Damit sind diese rechtskräftig.
Die Bundesanwaltschaft hatte 2015 ein Korruptionsverfahren gegen das auf Sicherheitsdruck spezialisierte Unternehmen eingeleitet. Im 2021 wurde dieses auf den Firmenchef ausgeweitet. Das Verfahren gegen den CEO und Hauptaktionär der Sicpa wurde eingestellt. Die Bundesanwaltschaft verpflichtete ihn jedoch zur Übernahme eines Teils der Verfahrenskosten und sprach ihm keine Entschädigung zu.
Die Ermittlungen bezogen sich laut der Bundesanwaltschaft auf die Zahlung von Bestechungsgeldern in verschiedenen Ländern, darunter Brasilien und Kolumbien.
