  • Zweck des Vereins ist es, die Interessen ihrer Mitglieder im In- und Ausland im Bereich des spurgebundenen Verkehrs zu vertreten sowie das Image und die Marktchancen in der Schweiz und Ausland zu fördern. Der Verein ist die Anlaufstelle der Schweizer Bahnindustrie und der Bahn-Ingenieurunternehmen für andere Organisationen, Institutionen und Behörden. Zur Erfüllung des Zwecks stellt sich der Verein zugunsten ihrer Mitglieder folgende Hauptaufgaben: a) Förderung der Zusammenarbeit unter den Mitgliedern; b) Vermittlung von Markt- und anderen nützlichen Informationen, welche für den spurgebundenen Verkehr relevant sind; c) Bereitstellung von Mitteln für Werbung und Marketing; d) Durchführung von Kollektivaktionen im In- und Ausland; e) Unterstützung und Koordination der Mitglieder bei der Marktbearbeitung im In- und Ausland; f) Unterstützung zur Ausschöpfung nationaler und internationaler Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten; g) Vertretung der Mitgliederinteressen gegenüber Behörden, diplomatischen Vertretungen, Verkehrsunternehmen sowie Wirtschafts- und Bildungsorganisationen im In- und Ausland; h) Betreiben eines aktiven Lobbyings und Networking; i) Vermittlung von Experten des spurgebundenen Verkehrs im In- und Ausland.
