  • Die Stiftung bezweckt - im Gegensatz zu industriellen Holzplantagen (Monokulturen) - dass nachhaltige Mischwälder kultiviert werden. Diese dienen der örtlichen Klimaverbesserung. Die Luft wird gereinigt, C02 wird gebunden und durch den Wasserdampf, den die Bäume verdunsten, kommt ein Wasserkreislauf in Gang. Anvisiert sind in erster Linie Länder in der Sahelzone (Burkina Faso, Senegal, Mali usw.). Absicht des Stifters ist es, dass langfristig gesehen pro Standort eine neue Waldparzelle entsteht. Zu diesem Zweck übernimmt die Stiftung die Kosten für Saatgut, das Säen bzw. Stecken der Samen, die Aufzucht und Pflege der Jungpflanzen, das Versetzen und Schützen der jungen Bäume, Sträucher und Gräser (z. B. Bambus). Ebenfalls gehört auch die notwendige Infrastruktur dazu. Auch kann die Stiftung dazu beitragen, dass in Ländern des Südens / Entwicklungsländern andere langfristig nachhaltige Projekte - wie z. B. Fischzucht, Apikultur (Bienen) - errichtet werden. Die Stiftung ist im Rahmen der Zwecksetzung in der ganzen Schweiz und im Ausland tätig. Die Stiftung hat keinen Erwerbszweck und erstrebt keinen Gewinn.. Es besteht ein Zweckänderungsvorbehalt gemäss Art. 86a ZGB.
